Description
EMT chemical injection assembly integrates the quill body, isolation valve, and high-pressure sealing into one compact unit for direct installation on pipelines or vessels. Rated to 25 MPa and NACE MR0175 compliant, it supports ER probe integration for real-time corrosion monitoring.
What Is an Injection Quill Assembly?
A chemical injection assembly is the complete installation unit that introduces process chemicals into a pipeline or vessel at a controlled injection point. The unit includes the quill body, an isolation valve, high-pressure seals, and a mounting flange—everything needed for a safe, leak-free tie-in.
EMT designs each unit for direct integration with our chemical injection quills (EMT-CI series). You get one supplier, one specification, and full traceability from the quill tip to the flange face. Chemical injection points are high-stress locations—vibration, thermal cycling, and corrosive media all concentrate here. A properly engineered unit prevents leaks, reduces maintenance, and places the chemical exactly where it needs to be.

How Does the Assembly Work?
The assembly mounts to a 2-inch ANSI flange on the pipeline or vessel. Process chemical flows through the supply line, through the isolation valve, and out through the quill nozzle into the process stream. The quill length is selected so the nozzle sits at the optimal mixing point—typically at the centreline of the pipe for turbulent mixing, or near the wall for targeted corrosion inhibition.
The high-pressure sealing system uses PTFE (Teflon) or Viton seals rated to 25 MPa. The isolation valve allows the quill to be serviced or replaced without depressurising the entire system—a major advantage for continuous-operation facilities. For enhanced monitoring, the assembly can integrate an ER (Electrical Resistance) probe that tracks corrosion rates in real time via Bluetooth data readout.

Key Features
- Complete, ready-to-install unit: No separate valve or sealing procurement. EMT supplies the quill, valve, and flange as one unit, reducing installation time and ensuring compatibility.
- 25 MPa pressure rating: Full-rated for high-pressure pipelines. Each unit is hydrotested to 1.5× working pressure before delivery, with test certificates provided.
- NACE MR0175 compliance: All wetted parts are selected for H2S/CO2 service. Material traceability certificates (EN 10204 3.1) are provided for every unit.
- Customisable quill length: Quill insertion depth is tailored to your pipe diameter and injection requirement. Adjustable nozzle options are available for field tuning.
- Integrated ER probe option: Add real-time corrosion monitoring at the injection point. The ER probe transmits data via Bluetooth, eliminating the need for manual readings.
- Flange or threaded connection: Available in ANSI 2″ RF/RJ flanged, or NPT/BSP threaded. Mate with existing piping without modification.

FAQ — Injection Quill Assembly
Q: What is included in an injection quill assembly?
A: The unit includes the injection quill body, an isolation valve, high-pressure seals, and a mounting flange. Optional additions include an ER corrosion probe and Bluetooth data transmitter.
Q: Can the quill length be customised?
A: Yes. EMT manufactures each unit to your specified insertion depth. Provide your pipe ID and preferred injection point location, and we will supply the correctly sized quill.
Q: Is the assembly NACE compliant?
A: Yes. All wetted parts are supplied in NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 compliant materials as standard. Material traceability certificates are provided with every order.
Q: Can I integrate corrosion monitoring?
A: Yes. The assembly can include an ER (Electrical Resistance) probe that measures corrosion rates in real time. Data is read via Bluetooth—no need to break the seal or shut down the system.
